Every design assignment starts by exploring the existing qualities, before “perfecting” it with own design. Niels van Hout is fascinated by basic materials and other peoples’ unwanted objects. Change of context and sustainability are VERVOLMAKEN’s main design principals.

Simplicity vs. multiplicity - designed vs. readymades - big gestures vs. detailing: these contrasts characterize his designs. Keeping the clients’ wishes in mind as main goal.
